Turnitin does not catch the papers students obtain from coursehero.com and chegg. How can I contact turnitin to find out about this? I can't find a "contact us" on this website.
Hi Janet Cosman-Ross , thanks for asking this question. Our Support team has shared the following:
"In cases of databases where subscriptions are necessary for access (such as journals, magazines, newspapers, etc.), or where our web crawlers are blocked, we will not be able to download the information automatically. It will be at the discretion of those who control the particular site whether permission is granted, and whether we are allowed to download the documents. You may also wish to contact representatives from other databases whose databases you wish Turnitin included, and request permission for our access. Requests from users such as yourself may promote access for our crawlers." More information on this can be found here.

I clicked on the link for "How does Turnitin handle essay mills?" and was directed to a login page where I don't have a valid account. Is there a different link for this information? I, too, think my students may be getting essays from essay mills and want to know how Turnitin is helping me deal with this problem.Reply
