Comments Loading Slowly in Feedback Studio

Is anyone experiencing very slow loading of typed or QuickMark comments in the Feedback Studio? How can I fix this? It's causing me to grade papers 2-3 times more slowly than usual. I'm using Chrome. I've tried cleaning my cache. I've also tried using Edge. Neither attempt helped.

  • I am having the same problem. It is very frustrating and is making grading quite a chore.

  • My grading has almost come to a complete halt because of this problem.  I will have to re-login or wait for a quickmark window to close (one minute usually, instead of the usual immediate closing of window).  I need this fixed because I have been waiting for six days to resolve this.  I have tried multiple computers and operating systems.  Still no fix.  HELP!!!!!

    • Steven Adkins I am sending them a screen cast to show them how frustrating this is. It takes a minute for the window to close for me too. I have grading deadlines every week and have stopped using them altogether because it was slowing me down so much.

  • This is still an issue for me. The typed comments are not loading slowly. Only the QuickMarks take a minute to load.

    This issue with QuickMarks has been reported across several LMSs. Our engineering team has been able to identify the problem and they are working hard to determine the best solution across all systems. We have been told that they will inform customers as soon as possible. Once we have more information, we will share it here. 

    In the meantime, please keep posting your recommended solutions here on the Forum or feel free to reach out directly to tiisupport@turnitin.com.

  • This is how long it takes for every grademark I use to go away.  It is taking me 20 minutes to grade something it used to take 5.....  Below is a screen capture of the issue.  This needs to be fixed ASAP.

    • Steven Adkins I agree that this is unacceptable. I have forwarded this information to our engineering team, as well as Customer Support.

      One rep offered this workaround for any freezing that might happen due to Quickmark slowness: drag Quickmarks over from the sidebar or convert comments to Quickmarks. This prevents freezing, but may still be slow. If Quickmarks are dragged from the sidebar, you may have to wait a few seconds before being able to open the comment editor.

      Please know that we have identified some causes of these problems and we are actively working on solutions for both the freezing and slowness. Our sincere apologies as you continue to face this challenge.

    • Steven Adkins I sent in a screen recording too that shows the one minute lag. It is maddening.
