deleted paper still in database

I have deleted my own old paper. Unfortunately, when I did the similarity check for latest version of the paper, the old deleted paper still exists in turnitin database and it affects the similary index of the new paper. Please help

  • Did you delete the assignment and/or submission, or did your Turnitin account admin request that it be removed for the repository? Only the latter actually removes it from turnitin's paper repository.

  • Azman Ismail as Kathy Williams points out you will need to request that the paper is deleted from the repository. The process for doing this is outlined here. Please don't hesitate to drop us a line if you have any further questions.

  • Kathy Williams My request is so simple, I just want my file to permanently delete from Turnitin repository. Because of this issue my recent paper has been rejected from one of international journal . As mentioned earlier, I have deleted the file. So information such as the class ID, assignment name, etc.  are no longer visible in my account view/dashboard. What I received is a Turnitin dialogue box mentioning where the similarity resources came from. I attached the dialogue box. Please advise

Azman Ismail as long as you remember the assignment name and preferably the file name that was submitted, it can be found. The request must come from your account admin though - if you are at a school it's typically the person who hands out accounts.

Azman Ismail I'm sorry this is frustrating for you and not wishing to labour the point but this request to permanently delete this file must come from your account administrator. Please refer to the link I posted above. In order to do this we will need some information from you in order to enable us to identify the file.
