Urgent anonymisation question
Hi all, I'm setting up a marking workshop for my graduate TAs, and wanted to show them on a big screen how I marked a previously marked assignment. So I hoped to login to an assignment I marked last year, run through the comments with them and explain my marking. But I want the assignment to be anonymous, though it wasn't anonymous when originally marked.
I thought there might be some way retrospectively to hide the student's name etc. but I can't see how to do it and I'm at a loss. I even wondered about some kind of Mac app that would allow me to black out part of the screen in real time, but there is no such thing as far as I can tell. I can't find any way of hiding the banner at the top of the Turnitin window that shows the student's name.
Any help greatly appreciated!
Hi David Oderberg -- I reached out to customer support and unfortunately, there is not a way to anonymize student information and use it as an example in a course. One suggestion you may have already considered is to take a screenshot of the graded page, blur out the student name, and use that still image in your course. Alternatively, you could "submit" a new student paper with the same content but with an anonymous name, then run through the comments and explain marking with your TAs.
