Account problem

Turnitin is world class forum for checking the plagiarism but they only provide the access to the subscribe universities with turnitin. I am so amazed, what about those who do not have any affiliation with university.

Why, they do not have right to get the account even they can pay the charges?

  • Turnitin has a paid option for students who aren't affiliated with an institution or aren't covered by a license: http://en.writecheck.com/

They also have a paid option for published works: http://www.ithenticate.com/

  • Thanks Kathy Williams for flagging up these options. There are obvious benefits of using Turnitin within the context of an institution as this provides strategy and resources around usage of the tool and demonstrates a high level commitment to academic integrity. Use in this way can also prevent ad hoc use of the tool and which (hopefully) ensures all students are treated fairly and any issues, whether from a developmental or punitive point of view are addressed appropriately.
