Cannot find student name in dropdown menu for Submit option

I have a student who missed a dropbox deadline. They sent me their file and I would like to upload it myself. When I go to "Submit" in the Assignment Inbox area, to try to submit an individual paper, the student's name does not appear in the dropdown menu/roster of students. They are 100% enrolled in the class and are in the canvas course page. What do I do now?

    Hi 

    This question is a bit out of my area of expertise, but it has been suggested to me that it may have to do with which version of the integration system with Canvas your institution is using. Do you happen to know if you're using LTI 1.1 or LTI 1.3? What you're describing is expected behavior for 1.1, but not 1.3 (see the help notes). If your system uses 1.3, then I'd advise submitting a Support Ticket by emailing support@turnitin.com .

      Hi Karen,

      Thanks for the reply. How would I know what integration our system uses? If it helps, the assignment in question is using the External Tool (to use the grademark system). I just find it odd that all the other students' names are in the dropdown menu, but for the one I need to submit.

      I did also submit a ticket, but no response.

       You should probably talk to your institution's Turnitin administrator. This is the one person who is the touchpoint between your institution and Turnitin. They may be able to answer it, or be able to talk to your institution's CSM.

      As for the support ticket, that can sometimes take some time for a response. It may be quicker to have the Turnitin administrator for your institution reach out directly to your CSM.

    (Ok, I realise this is from four month ago...)

    From June's description, this sounds like LTI 1.3. In LTI 1.1 (which my institution is still using), instructors can only resubmit on behalf of students.

    What causes me to be unsure of my answer is that in LTI 1.3, there isn't a drop-down menu for the roster of students. (At least, that's not what the instructions suggest.)
