The HOW & BENEFITS of K-12 & University Partnership

Can India also Initiate & Build a Research Consortium of its kind by bringing together the two pillars together- K12 & University right from the young age of Students ??

Is it not the right time for our K-12 to start initiating & building a collaborative framework with Research Universities in India so that the very Proven & Evident learnings can be shared with new & existing EdTech tools right inside the classrooms.

The idea seems worth giving a try as 1) It surely has the capability to complement the next big thing called VR & AR in our classrooms, 2) It has full potential to rejuvenate the excitement of classrooms & most imp 3) The students will have access to more research-based reference material, equipment, etc to augment their curiosity & fact-finding ability in the infra not generally available in K-12 set-up. Knowledge will give students the wings & igniting the Curiosity will keep them flapping !!

Will it not add more spark towards the interest in STEM education in India, which primarily is our strength in the workforce across the globe. The results of this experiment can be studied with more prudence, however, the idea in itself speaks of its many merits than de-merits to be thought off from initial.

Wish many more CFTI's, Govt initiatives, etc may start fuelling this concept, which can yield conceivable results in our education model development skewed wrt Industry expectations. Recently IIT Delhi started the Sci-Tech Spins initiative (https://home.iitd.ac.in/show.php?id=81&in_sections=News) as an experiment to this and hopefully, other IIT's/CFTI's may follow.

Very insightful Hunny Agarwal , there needs to be a sharing and imparting of knowledge and bringing together a partnership with K12 and Universities would bring about greater impact on student learning outcomes.
