Clickable links in Feedback Studio

I don't think there is a way to do this, but asking anyway.  If not, it would be a good addition.

When my students do research essays, I need to check their sources. For  this reason, I require clickable links in their works cited.   Unfortunately, I can't click them on Turnitin.  This means that I have three choices:

(1) not use it to grade,

(2) download the essay (an extra step), or

(3) go back to the outline that I corrected on a different platform and check it.

Is there a way around this?

Thank you

Nicola Philpott I checked this out with the Product Manager who is leading on development of the Similarity Report. She confirms that these links are not currently clickable and this is because often the references are highlighted for similarity. An area we are looking into in future is being able to cut and paste areas of the report, so this might help you.

Gill Rowell Thanks for answering. They are not highlighted in this case, which could be because my parameters do not include bibliographical information.  If I did include it, I would have too many students with a high similarity count, so I don't see that point of that.

I'm not sure how cutting and pasting areas of the report would be helpful.

I'll probably just not use Feedback Studio next time I give an assignment like this.

Gill Rowell I've now checked to see what happens if I include bibliographical material, and the Similarity Report does not include all of them. I've attached a screenshot.

Nicola Philpott I have passed all your comments on to our Product Manager. Your feedback regarding the links not being clickable is very helpful but this functionality would need to be weighed against how we develop other elements of the application (like highlights). But in future versions of the report, it will be possible to copy the link text from the report in order to paste it into a browser.

Gill Rowell Copying would be useful - thanks for your reply.

It's a bit of a pain, but I find the text only version useful for this example (also if you want to paste a section of student work into the feedback for some reason, though I'd agree reference checking is more frequent)
As an alternative, could you get them to also share a reference list e.g. via Zotero / EndNote / whichever bibliographic tool your institution uses (useful skill for them to develop anyway ...)

The text only version is a link at the bottom right.

The Text only link at the bottom of Feedback studio appears briefly and then disappears - anyone else experiencing  this?

I had the same issue with links in PeerMark.  It would be great if hyperlinks worked
