The What & Why of Attributions
When teaching a graduate level research and bibliography methods course I often found myself creating “cheat sheets” for students on course topics: lists of credible journals, databases they could use, purpose statement templates, etc. It is an easy way to provide reminders and cut down on the back-end feedback I needed to give on written work.
I was looking through my files the other day and stumbled across one I thought you all would appreciate as a “cheat sheet” for your students: the What and Why of Attributions!
This short deck provides a reminder of why we attribute, how to give proper attributions, and a couple of practice examples for students to work through.
I hope this helps your students practice their academic integrity skills! Please share your attribution "cheat sheets", success stories, and wonderments below!
