    Hi

The ability to disable the new report and return to the old version is controlled by a setting determined by the Turnitin administrator in your institution. If they have this ability toggled off, you will not be able to switch back and forth.

Our guides provide some more information regarding this issue.

      Dear
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to discuss the recent changes to Turnitin.
We've noticed that the new system seems to be more complex than necessary. Many of us are wondering why we can't simply revert to the previous version of Turnitin, which was more straightforward and user-friendly.
Specifically, we're curious about the decision to limit certain functions to administrator accounts. Would it be possible to grant more authority to instructor accounts? This could potentially simplify the process for many users and reduce the administrative burden.
We appreciate the efforts to improve the system, but in this case, the added complexity seems to be causing more challenges than benefits. Could you share some insights into the reasoning behind these changes? We're open to understanding the potential advantages we might be overlooking.
Thank you for your time and consideration. We look forward to your response and any potential solutions you might suggest.

Hello! The decision to limit certain functions to administrator accounts was made to ensure consistency and streamline management across the institution. By centralizing control, we aimed to create a more cohesive experience and simplify administrative tasks.

If you aren’t fully ready for the change or need more time to explore the new report, I suggest that your ask your admin to enable the "New Similarity Report view as optional" setting. This will allow instructors to toggle between the old and new views with a simple button in the viewer. Hope that helps!

Thank you for your previous response.

I'm writing to express some concerns about the current approval process.
I've been informed that several administrators who need to approve my request are on vacation, potentially delaying the process by more than two months. This extended wait time is problematic for our immediate needs.
In light of this, I strongly urge Turnitin to reconsider its current rules and procedures. It would be far more efficient to simplify the process rather than making it more complicated. The current system, which requires us to wait for administrator approval, is causing unnecessary delays and frustration.
Could you please review these policies? Our goal is to use Turnitin effectively, and we believe there must be a way to streamline the process without compromising security or functionality. Is there any way to implement a more user-friendly system that doesn't rely so heavily on administrator approval for basic functions?
