A student paper is taken entirely from unpublished content, how to report

Hello,

There is evidence that 84% of the content of a student paper is taken from unpublished material from a research project at the same university. This similarity prevents further publication by the actual author, who can prove ownership of the source code and original contents. How to report this? and how to remove it from the repository to enable the actual author to publish their content correctly?

Thank you in advance,

Manal

Hi Manal, which Turnitin product is the University using? We can guide you on the deletion process accordingly.

Thank you for your reply. I was affiliated with the university at the time this work was developed. I am not now, and I do not have access to find out about their Turnitin product. I am communicating with them, and I know the Paper ID (oid) I get from my Turnitin similarity check. I have all proofs that my original writing was written first because it was submitted for possible peer-reviewed publication elsewhere not a student repository. Any chance this can be disputed through Turnitin better than legal authorities?

    Thanks again
