Feature Request: Detecting Fabricated Arguments in Text/Documents
Hi TEN Community!
I’d like to address a significant issue in academia: the prevalence of fabricated arguments in research sources. As educators dedicated to upholding academic integrity, we must recognize the impact of misleading information on our students' learning experiences.
Feature Idea for Turnitin:
Even when citations are correct, the information presented can still be fabricated or doctored, leading to misconceptions and unreliable conclusions. I think that Turnitin developed a feature specifically designed to identify questionable reasoning or unsupported claims within texts. Such a tool could greatly enhance our ability to promote critical evaluation and uphold academic standards.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this feature idea and any experiences you’ve had related to this issue.
Looking forward to your insights!
