I'm the founder of the AI-Resilient Writing Institute (ARWI) and the creator of the 4D Model for AI-Resilient Writing™, a framework that helps educators shift from detecting AI use to designing assignments that make student thinking visible, regardless of what tools students use.

After 18+ years in higher ed and K–12, I became convinced that the problem was never the tools. It was the design. We'd been building writing courses for a world that no longer exists.

So I built something for the world we're actually in.

I'm a college composition instructor at South Texas College, where I've been developing and testing these approaches in the classroom. The framework isn't theoretical. It comes from teaching real students navigating real AI tools in real time.
