How to permanently delete a file
Hi,
I want to permanently delete a file so it doesn’t remain in the standard paper repository or appear in other similarity searches. I already used the “permanently delete” option in the assignment inbox, but the file still appears and I haven’t received any notification.
Does anyone know how long this deletion takes to apply and whether the system sends any confirmation?

Thanks for reaching out! To completely remove a submission from Turnitin’s repository, a permanent deletion request must be submitted and approved by your institution’s Turnitin administrator. Once approved, the paper will be permanently deleted and will no longer appear in future similarity reports. For more details, please see our guide: Requesting the deletion of submissions
