Schools in the United States support the holistic development of all students through the process of learning and discovery, but the school experience in this country presents a distinct set of challenges for immigrant students. As immigrant families seek opportunities in the U.S., immigrant students must adapt to a new culture, learn new institutional systems, and figure out how to bridge language differences in their new schools. 

This panel discussion examines the unique needs of immigrants from Latin America who have moved to the United States and what educators can do to meet those needs and equitably set their immigrant students up for sustained academic success.
