Gradebook issues with LTI 1.3 and Moodle

We are using the new LTI 1.3 integration with Moodle and have noticed an issue with grades and the gradebook.
Despite setting an assignment to a specific date to release feedback; whenever an assignment has been marked, students are able to see the grade immediately in the grades section of Moodle. (See example image below)
This causes issues for our teaching staff as it means the students are seeing their feedback either early or before other students which has been causing significant issues for our teaching staff and the students.
The current solution involves staff needing to head to the gradebook setup, show more options on each individual submission and set it to be hidden until the feedback release date, this then causes issue for if the staff want to release the dates earlier or later. (See example image below of what staff have to change)
We wanted to report this as this current solution to resolve this is both time consuming and difficult for some of our teaching staff and not ideal.
We were wondering if there is either a setting that we have missed or if this is just a bug with the LMS LTI integration. If this is an intended function, we would really appreciate this to be customisable as we do not want feedback / grades to be configured in this way for our university.

Thanks so much for flagging this. We know how frustrating it is when grades reach students before you're ready. I checked with our integrations team, and here's what I learned:
Is this a bug?
No, it's currently working as intended, though I completely understand it isn't how your staff expect it to work. With the Moodle LTI 1.3 integration:- Feedback stays held until the feedback release date.
- Grades go to the Moodle gradebook as soon as they're awarded in the Turnitin viewer.
Why does it work this way?
Holding grades until the feedback release date needs support on the LMS side. Right now, Blackboard is the only LMS that has implemented that part of the LTI specification. Until Moodle supports it, grades will sync to the gradebook right away.What can staff do in the meantime?
Our Moodle LTI 1.3 quickstart guide recommends using the Hide option on the grade column so students can't see grades before the feedback release date. I know this is the manual workaround your team is already using, and that it isn't ideal, especially when release dates change.Your feedback about wanting this to be configurable is really valuable.
