class has prematurely expired

I incorrectly had March as the course's expiration date, and I need to extend it to May. I followed the instructions for editing it to extend it to May, but it has not renewed the course. This is what it reads: "No assignments, submissions, or students can be added or edited in this class because the class has expired and has become read-only. If you would like to extend the expiration date of this class, please return to your instructor home page and click on the 'edit' button for this class." 

Again, I have followed the edit instructions, but it has not returned the course to an "active" class. Please help. 

The course is ENGL 1020, and the course ID is 46903499.
