Soon, you'll be able to combine different assignments into connected checkpoints so students can build on prior work and instructors can tailor feedback and assess progress at every stage of the writing process.
Here's a preview of what it unlocks:
Link Turnitin Feedback Studio (Standard) and Turnitin Clarity (Student Writing) assignments into structured checkpoints that fit your instructional goals.
Use connected assignment parts and just-in-time reminders to encourage students to review feedback, reflect on their progress, and strengthen their work before moving forward.
When using Clarity assignments, students can pick up where they left off and easily access feedback from previous parts.
Easily navigate between parts to see how student work develops over time, whether prior feedback was addressed, and where students may need more support.

I have many teachers asking to assign something like this that can only be reopened during their class periods. Will this be a possibility? Can it remain locked until the teacher reopens the draft?

they want to assign writing in class. So students would work on it Monday from say 11-12 and then Wednesday 11-12 and not be able to edit it or work on it at home.

We checked in with our product team, and here’s what they shared:
- You can adjust the start and due dates/times to match the class period, which should help control when students can access the assignment.
- Ideally, availability like this would be managed within your LMS by setting availability dates or publishing/unpublishing the content.
