Today, we're launching an update to the AI writing report for English submissions. Here's what you need to know.

What the updated AI writing report looks like

• No change to what the AI score represents: it continues to reflect an aggregation of likely AI-generated content, including text that may have been further modified by AI paraphrasers or bypassers.

• The AI writing report now only shows one set of highlights indicating all likely AI-generated text, including any that may have been further modified.

What's changed

The AI writing report now shows a single set of blue highlights for all likely AI-generated content. The purple highlights for content that may have been AI-paraphrased have been removed. One unified set of highlights represents all likely AI-generated content, whether it was produced directly by an LLM or may have been subsequently modified using AI paraphrasing or bypassing tools.

The model continues to detect likely AI-generated content that may have been further paraphrased or run through bypassing tools to evade detection.

What stays the same

• No change to how we depict the overall score

• No change to how statistics are presented to admins. Admin stats continue to show the overall AI score across submissions

• No change in how the AI report is accessed

• No change in pricing or packaging
