Most of you have likely seen me around here over the course of the past year or so, but I thought it a good idea to give a proper introduction. Finally!

I live on the east coast of the U.S. and have my entire life. My household contains me, my husband, our child (soon to be 25, but it still counts, yea?), and 3 lovely cats.

I've been working at Turnitin for just over 4 years, after retiring from public education after 34 years. I taught English/Language Arts for most of those years, but I also did stints as yearbook advisor, school testing coordinator, and literacy coach.

Favorite things to do are reading (especially in my hammock), cooking, hiking, camping, canoeing, going to the beach, and of course spending time with loved ones--doing all of those things or none. I have begun doing a bit of travel, but I definitely hope to do a lot more.
