Please provide students with a clear, visible save-status indicator and additional safeguards against lost work. Although Clarity automatically saves student writing, we experienced an instance in which a student navigated to another browser tab and returned to Clarity to discover that work had been lost. A "Saving," "Saved," or "Last saved" indicator would help students confirm that their most recent work has been successfully stored.

Why is this important to you?
When Clarity is the primary environment for a writing assignment, students and teachers need confidence that work is being preserved. A visible save status would help students develop the habit of checking that their work has synced successfully before navigating away and could reduce the frustration and instructional disruption caused by lost writing.
