Exact same issue here. I've contacted both my site administrator and Turnitin support and have yet to resolve the issue. I've used Turnitin for decades and haven't encountered this problem before.

Update: Site administrator said my access was locked. She unlocked it and now I can add the class.

      Hi Matthew,

Thanks for the update! It sounds like your account was temporarily locked, which can happen if it hasn't been accessed for six months or more. When this occurs, instructors may need to reset their password first, and administrators have the ability to unlock the account.

Glad to hear your site administrator was able to resolve the issue for you!  - Kat, Turnitin Team

      Hi Shafqat,

If a Turnitin account hasn’t been accessed for six months or more, it will be automatically locked for security purposes. Instructors will need to reset their password first, and once logged in, they may see a message stating that their account is locked and to contact their account administrator.

For instructors without active classes, the ‘Add Class’ button will not be available while the account is locked. Since administrators also have the ability to lock accounts, we recommend reaching out to your Turnitin account administrator to check your access and request reactivation if needed.

Let us know if you have any other questions! - Kat, Turnitin Team

Same problem. Why not have a NOTIFICATION present on the instructor's homepage saying that the account is locked and explaining what you say above? This can't be that uncommon of an issue. Seems like kind silly hoops to jump through as well. Not sure why I have to get my administrator to click a button. Why not only include the step of having instructors create a new password?
