Zero-Point Steps in Multistep Assignments
Product: Clarity
What’s your request or feedback?
Please allow teachers to create a zero-point step within a multistep assignment. Not every stage of the writing process needs to contribute points to the student's grade.
Why is this important to you?
Teachers may want students to complete important formative steps such as brainstorming, planning, reflection, or revision without assigning points to those activities. Allowing a step to be worth zero points would give teachers greater flexibility to design a multistep assignment around the writing process rather than the grading structure.
