Checklist me, please!

There's really nothing like a good checklist to keep students focused on important multi-step processes. Sometimes we simply aren't around to remind them of what to do next, and that's ok!

Peer review and feedback is highly encouraged, but students (and educators!) often need more guidance in order for it to truly be useful.

And so Turnitin's Teaching and Learning Innovations team developed a couple tools to help keep students and educators on track during this highly important formative practice. Self-reflection and goal-setting for "next time" is encouraged with each of these resources.

For students, the Peer review and feedback student checklist suggests steps for before, during, and post-writing.

For educators, the Peer review and feedback educator self-reflection tool encourages educators to look at the success (or not!) of peer review and feedback loops and is designed to be used independently, or as a part of ongoing professional learning.

More resources can be found to implement Peer review and feedback loops on Turnitin's website!

Hi! These resources in the "peer review and feedback loops" link above look great, but when I try to download the PowerPoints, they seem to be PDFs even though the file names end in .pptx. Can those three slide decks be provided as .pptx? Thanks!

Hi  Once you download them, we recommend opening them in Google slides so that you can see all features, educator notes, and/or adapt as needed for your own purposes.

Thank you for your quick reply, but I'm confused. Some of the other lessons contain slide decks, and when I downloaded them, they came in as .pptx. The ones that I linked (https://www.turnitin.com/instructional-resources/packs/peer-review-and-feedback) seem to be an exception. They, like the others, are labeled as .pptx, but when I download them, they are actually .pdf files. Are you sure there wasn't a mistake in what was uploaded?

I am not! Let me check with our team and get back to you. I do see a different download experience now that you mention it. The request is in with the first person already so hopefully we'll get some answers soon. It may take a bit of time, so feel free to nudge me if I don't answer in what might seem like a reasonable amount of time! I will try to update as soon as I figure out where the breakdown is.
