We’re excited to share the latest updates on Turnitin Clarity, our writing support add-on for Feedback Studio! 

Here are a few improvements that have been recently released:

• Composition download for students
  Students have the option to export their work as a PDF at any stage of the writing process.
• AI detection integration in the Writing Report
  When students paste a block of text longer than 300 words, Clarity’s Writing Report includes results from Turnitin’s AI writing detection*.

Here’s a look at what’s coming next: 

• Citation assistant with Turnitin Clarity
  Turnitin Clarity now gives instructors the option to enable an AI-powered citation assistant to help students become more confident and proficient writers. The citation assistant currently supports APA and MLA citation formats, with support for Chicago and Harvard coming at a later date.
   
• Additional formatting options
  Students will have access to new formatting options, including footnotes, page numbers, and headers/footers, when writing in Turnitin Clarity.
   
• Earlier submission review
  Student submissions for Turnitin Clarity assignments will become available to the instructor to review as soon as a student clicks "submit" instead of only after the assignment due date has passed.
   
• Individual assignment extensions
  Turnitin Clarity will support assignment extensions for individual students.
