Limited admin visibility for New Standard Assignments (LTI 1.3)

Hi All,

First time poster πŸ™‚

I'm keen to understand how other institutions are managing user/class visibility after migrating to Turnitin LTI 1.3 (New Standard Assignments)

My institution has yet to migrate to LTI 1.3, however, we have been testing it in our non-production LMS environment. Last year, we raised an issue wherby we could not see instructor/student and class lists appear in the admin console for any New Standard Assignments (ie LTI 1.3), Turnitin Support advised at the time:

In January, we will be launching a new admin experience that shall allow us to offer enhanced user management and account oversight.

Following the release of the new admin experience, my team re-tested and we're still not seeing this data flow through to the admin console. We raised a new support ticket, this time we were informed:

Currently, New Standard Assignment data is not yet supported in the instructor and student lists. This is on the roadmap for our Development Team, however this is not at the stage where we can offer any timeline for release, unfortunately.

I will forward your feedback to our Product and Marketing Teams for further consideration. Although the development is already planned, additional feedback can help when the Product and Development Teams make their prioritizing decisions.

The absence of this data from the admin portal is concerning, especially as in 2026, as I presume many institutions will be migrating towards LTI 1.3.

I would be interested to hear:

  1. For those who are using LTI 1.3, are any others experiencing the same limitation?
  2. How are you managing admin oversight for instructors, students and classes created via New Standard in the meantime?
  3. Can someone from Turnitin provide any clearer ETA's on when clients can expect this functionality to be made available in the new admin console?

Thank you!
