That first post seems so hopeful ... but I'm here in Orlando (finally!) and currently reviewing notes and such. Here you see my journey from my usual TEN posting spot til today--it's definitely a shorter view than my 12 hours of travel!

Hoping to meet some of you soon!

I have many thoughts post-ISTE, so as I sit in the Orlando airport, I thought I'd take the opportunity to share a bit.

First, I had every intention of posting daily while there, but the days were long!

    1. The sessions delivered and the conversations they inspired were 🧨! It was wonderful to talk to so many educators who were either delighted with Turnitin Clarity and the newest innovations or introducing these exciting features as a way to move forward in the age of AI.

    2. As always when speaking to teachers, I learned so much. I love working at Turnitin, but I do miss teachers and students. Teaching shaped my entire adult life, and I'll never be sorry for it.

    3. ISTE showcased for me how important the work we do daily at Turnitin actually is. I knew already, of course, but I don't often have the opportunity to speak to teachers and hear firsthand. In spite of all the travel issues and coming down with a bug while there, I am returning home newly inspired to support educators with the work I do at Turnitin.

    4. A personal sidenote: A former student saw that I was at ISTE on LinkedIn and came to look me up. He became a math educator and eventually supervisor, and what a pleasure that he took the time. We live 20 minutes apart, and likely haven't seen one another for 15 years, yet we connected in Orlando! More proof that the relationships we build with students are lasting--I think I taught him in the 90s! Very early in my career anyway. We delivered a session on the importance of building relationships the very next day!
