Original writing showing AI Detection
How do we convince students that even if they claim that they have written original work for academic essays and personal statements, it still shows more than 50% AI detection? And how do we reduce this?

We discovered that if a student utilizes programs like Grammarly on part or all of their essays that Turnitin is determining that Grammarly is AI usage. We have used other tools such as DraftBack (Google extension) to look if there are large amounts of copy/paste (from AI generators) or if the student is actually typing out their responses.
