Highlights from the 2025 Turnitin Virtual Customer Summit

Throughout November, educators, administrators, and researchers from around the world came together for the 2025 Turnitin Virtual Customer Summit—a month of shared learning focused on one central question: How is AI reshaping education, and how do we respond responsibly?

With nearly 30 live and on-demand sessions, the Summit offered practical strategies, product insights, and peer perspectives across academic integrity, course assessment, high-stakes testing, and research integrity. Participants heard directly from Turnitin leaders and customers alike, exploring how institutions can adapt policies, practices, and tools to better support learning in an AI-enabled world.

A few moments that stood out:

  • A truly global experience, with thousands of participants representing more than 100 countries and sessions designed to support multiple time zones.

  • Executive keynotes focused on responsible AI use and evolving institutional needs.

  • Deep dives into new and upcoming innovations, including Turnitin Clarity, Next-Gen Feedback Studio, and iThenticate 2.0.

  • Customer-led sessions showcasing real-world strategies educators are already using to promote transparency, integrity, and critical thinking.

Across the most-attended sessions, several themes emerged—from students’ changing relationship with AI, to the growing need for transparency in the writing process, to the importance of rebuilding trust and shared understanding between educators and learners.

The takeaway? AI isn’t just a technology challenge; it’s a teaching and learning challenge, and institutions are actively looking for thoughtful, responsible ways forward.
